When it comes to senior dogs, their needs change significantly as they age. Worn or missing teeth change what an older dog can comfortably handle. PLUTOS Senior 'My Easy Chew' is built for that specific problem. Here is what it is and who it suits.
What It Is
PLUTOS Senior 'My Easy Chew' is a chew formulated for older dogs. As dogs age, their teeth and gums become more sensitive, making it harder for them to manage regular hard chews. This is a softer, more workable chew.
The Composition
Apple flour, lactose-free milk protein, krill flour, virgin olive oil, and minerals including sea salt and calcium, plus natural additives. Note the order: apple flour comes first, which is part of what makes it softer than the standard chew.
The analysis is 30% crude protein, 20% moisture, 3% fat and 5% crude fibre, with omega-3 at ALA 108, EPA 286 and DHA 199 mg per 100 g and astaxanthin at 45 mg per 100 g from the krill. It is 100% grain free and lactose free. It contains krill, so it declares shellfish as an allergen.
The Texture, Which Is the Point
Unlike traditional hard chews, this one is softer and easier for senior dogs to chew. That matters because very hard chews carry a genuine tooth fracture risk, and older dogs with worn teeth are the most exposed to it. The mechanical action of chewing still helps work against soft plaque, and it remains a supplement to brushing rather than a substitute.
Who It Suits, and Who It Does Not
It is a good fit for small to medium senior dogs, and for any older dog whose teeth are not what they were.
It is not the right choice for a large, powerful chewer who will get through it in a couple of minutes. Those dogs are better served by a standard PLUTOS chew in Large, assuming their teeth are up to it.
Practical Notes
It comes in Medium at 60 g, with a 24 month shelf life, and is made at our factory in Caniçal, Madeira, to human grade standards. It is a complementary pet food, so treat it as a reward rather than a meal, and always supervise your dog while they are chewing.
